Drunk driver runs over curb: At 12:41 a.m. April 29 in the 3600 block of East Valley Road, an officer responded to a call of someone suspected of driving under the influence. A security guard stated that the driver had run over a curb and had his wheels off the ground. Upon contact, the officer noticed visible impairment, slurred speech and difficulty standing. The driver was arrested and booked into jail.

Public drug use: At 8:35 a.m. April 30 near 300 Houser Way South, an officer witnessed a subject smoking suspected illegal drugs. Upon contact, the suspect admitted to using drugs. He was arrested and booked into jail.

Fake name: At 5:18 p.m. April 28 in the 700 block of Rainier Avenue South, an officer witnessed a subject smoking suspected illegal drugs. When the officer approached, the subject quickly left the area. A few minutes later, officers contacted the female, who gave a false name. She admitted to lying about her name when she realized she would be fingerprinted. She was arrested for unlawful public dangerous drug activities and false statements to a public servant. She was cited and released at the scene.

Argument leads to assault: At 11:06 a.m. May 4 in the 400 block of South 2nd Street, officers responded to an assault. The victim stated he was arguing with another individual when a third person came up to him and assaulted him. Officers detained the suspect. Due to the victim’s injuries, the suspect was arrested and booked into jail for fourth-degree assault.
