“The Two Gentlemen of Verona” marks a turning point for William Shakespeare. It was his first romantic comedy and set the stage for a series of romantic comedies leading up to his masterpiece “Twelfth Night.” Audiences will watch as Shakespeare pokes fun at the conventions of friendship, love, and romance, updated and set to a 70’s disco beat. “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” was the first true romantic comedy written with real characters facing real problems through humor and a little bit of disco fever. One of RCT’s longest running members, Kent Phillips of Star 101.5, returns to direct.
